ABCmouse 2 Home Screen and Settings Overview
-
Daily Learning Quest: This is the top-left and largest section of the home screen. The Daily Learning Quest offers a new selection of 10 activities and games selected just for your child each day. All subjects and game types are rotated in the daily selections.
-
My World: This is the top-right and second largest sections. My World is an immersive experience for your child, which offers a number of engaging areas that helps your child learn and grow through unstructured play and caring for virtual animals and pets. Zones within My World include Bot Beats, Pet Town, Safari, Hamster Maze, and Aquarium.
-
My Avatar (Personalization and Creative Expression): This Avatar builder lets kids see themselves as a major character in world of learning, helps them feel more personally motivated and invested in learning, and adds yet another playful element to the program to keep kids engage and keep them coming back to learn.
-
Bot Beats (Coding) lets your child "program" music beats and program a robot to dance in various ways, offering an engaging early coding experience.
-
Pet Town (Narrative Play) goes above and beyond the ABCmouse Pet Park with more dynamic and narrative options to enhance storytelling and creativity. As your child earns more and more tickets by completing activities, there are lots of fun ways to use them here. (If your child has tickets in ABCmouse, you will see them in ABCmouse 2.)
-
Safari (Life Science) is another exclusive feature in the new 2.0 app that immerses your child in an African Safari that encourages exploration and life science learning.
-
Hamster Maze (Spatial Logic): This zone encourages problem-solving and spatial logic while your child is caring for and having fun with their pet hamster. Some kids focus more on the challenge and excitement of the building and others the rewarding feeling of caring for a pet.
-
Aquarium (Social-Emotional Learning): This feature invites your child to feed and care for their fish, which enhances social-emotional learning. It's a calming activity for most.
-

Zones within My World include Bot Beats, Pet Town, Safari, Hamster Maze, and Aquarium.
-
My Classroom: The Classroom area presents your child a full range of learning opportunities. Subject choices include Math, Reading & Writing, Science, Social Studies, and Art & Music. They can also choose to focus on educational Games, Videos, or the Library.
-
My Learning Path: You won't need to set up your child's step-by-step Learning Path; the ABCmouse 2 app will use the settings for each profile on ABCmouse (you can, of course change them in the Profile settings if needed). Encourage your child to do some Learning Path activities each day so they can advance through the selected curriculum and feel a sense of accomplishment as they progress. Don't worry about the Levels here. Each child will start on "Level 1," but the content of their Level 1 is based on their age and settings in ABCmouse. If you have multiple children, you may see a pre-K level one for one child and a 2nd grade Level 1 for the other.
-
Top Icons: The four small icons on the top of the screen are shortcuts to the Library, Games, Art and Music, and the Theater (all our videos).
-
Profiles and Setting: Click the Profile name/icon in the upper-left corner of the screen to go to the Settings screen, where you can add a child or change profile settings for your kids.
At the top of the Settings screen, you'll see a reminder that your ABCmouse 2 app is connected to your original ABCmouse account.
Click Parent Options on the Settings screen for access to Your Account (change email and password) and Member Billing information in the Parent Options section.Important Note about Email & Password Changes: You can change your email address and password in ABCmouse 2, but this does NOT change your credentials for your original ABCmouse account and will cause you to have two separate log-ins. For that reason, we recommend that if you want to change either email or password, you do that within the ABCmouse app or website Parent Section, which will update your credentials for BOTH programs.
All Billing changes (including Cancellation) will be made in your original ABCmouse account.Because you are not being billed for ABCmouse 2 and the app is connected to your original ABCmouse subscription, you will not see any billing or other subscription details in the ABCmouse 2 app. If you need to access your ABCmouse billing information, you can do so as you normally would in the Parent Section of the ABCmouse app or website. (For your convenience, the Manage Membership button in ABCmouse 2 open the original ABCmouse app if it is installed on your device.)
