How do I customize my child’s workshop?

The Child’s Workshop in ABCmouse 2.0 lets children personalize their virtual space with items they’ve earned through learning. This article explains how to access and customize the Workshop.

Recent Changes to the ABCmouse 2.0 app

With the latest update to the ABCmouse app, the layout has changed, and now everything is available on a single homepage. The Workshop is no longer a separate section, but you can still customize your child’s space within the app easily.

How the Workshop Works

Updated Layout

Some users may see a new layout where the different sections, such as the workshop, have been replaced with a single homepage featuring labeled buildings and icons, as shown in the screenshot. In this layout:

• Users can tap on labeled icons (e.g., Library, Games, Art & Music, Aquarium, Pet Town) to access different learning activities.
• The Reading and Math Learning Paths may appear as a single combined path instead of separate paths.

Traditional Workshop Layout

1. Access the Workshop:

   • Log into ABCmouse 2.0 app.
   • Tap on the Workshop icon, usually located at top right on the homepage.
     
     
     
     

2. Choose Customization Options:

   • Inside the Workshop, your child can personalize various elements, such as:
     
     
     • Pet Town: Select from a variety of animals, including cats, dogs, rabbits, and more.
       
       
     • Bot Beats: Children can experiment with creating their own beats by selecting different sounds and rhythms, encouraging creativity and exploration.
       • Premium users can unlock additional Bot Beats items by completing activities. Typically, a new item is awarded every 3-5 completed activities, giving children more sounds, instruments, and effects to enhance their creations.

1. • • Hamsters: Kids may have the option to personalize the hamster's habitat by choosing accessories, colors, and toys.
       
       
     • Aquarium: This is a virtual fish tank where children will find their fish and aquarium decorations.
       
       
     • Safari: Feature can be used for children to find games and activities related to rhinos, hippos, lions, tigers, and other animals.
       
       
       
       

2. Earn Tickets for More Customizations:

   • Your child can use tickets earned through activities to purchase additional items to use in and of the Workshop section.
     
     
     
     

3. Save and Enjoy:

   • Once your child has made their desired changes, the Workshop will automatically save the updates.

Encouraging your child to customize their Workshop allows them to express creativity while making their learning environment more engaging and enjoyable!
